Fort Ord Dunes State Park on July 18, 2009. This spot is 2 miles from home and most days you don't see a soul on the beach.
Marina temperature was 65 degrees while San Jose was 96 degrees.

Fort Ord Dunes State Park
A real bummer, our private beach has been opened to the public. I was surprised at the crowds of spectators.
